Pre-Employment Psychological Evaluations

Oregon First Responder Evaluations (OFRE) provides pre-employment psychological evaluations for first responder positions across Oregon, including law enforcement, fire service, dispatch, and corrections. These evaluations support clear, well-supported hiring decisions for roles that carry authority, responsibility, and public trust.

OFRE uses a structured process organized around POST standards and established professional guidelines. Each evaluation integrates standardized psychological testing, a one-on-one clinical interview, and a thorough review of agency-provided background materials, with additional records reviewed when indicated.

Following the interview, and once all relevant information has been received, a comprehensive written report is typically completed within 1–3 business days. Reports are clear, thorough, and practical, giving decision-makers what they need to move forward with confidence.

Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) Post-Critical Incident Mental Health Support Sessions

OFRE provides structured, short-term mental health support sessions following officer-involved shootings, offering timely, individualized care to personnel impacted by critical incidents in the line of duty. Services are provided in accordance with ORS 181A.790.
