The OFRE Difference

Why Chiefs & Sheriffs Choose OFRE

Personalized Approach

OFRE is available by phone or email to answer agency questions or discuss report findings, highlighting a commitment to clarity and responsive communication. OFRE also offers flexibility in tailoring the report format to align with each agency's preference.

Streamlined, Secure, & Hassle-Free Referral Process

OFRE's secure, confidential online referral system simplifies the entire process for your agency. Once a referral is submitted, OFRE handles the rest, ensuring a smooth, easy, and efficient experience from start to finish. After all, the pre-employment assessment should put candidates to the test… not the agency's patience.

Flexible Assessment Options: Remote or In-Person

OFRE offers remote clinical interviews, with in-person appointments available based on scheduling and agency needs. Remote testing and interviews are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform, ensuring convenience without compromising confidentiality. In-person interviews are conducted at our office in Sisters, Oregon.

Timely & Comprehensive Reports

OFRE typically schedules candidates within 1 to 2 weeks of receiving an online referral. Following the candidate's clinical interview, OFRE delivers a comprehensive, agency-specific report within 3 business days, ensuring a timely, thorough evaluation process that meets each agency's unique needs.

Evaluators with Experience Working Alongside First Responders

OFRE's firsthand experience in public safety provides a clear understanding of the demands, expectations, and culture of public safety professions. This real-world insight allows OFRE to deliver evaluations that are practical, relevant, and aligned with the realities of the job.

Know Who Is Evaluating Your Candidates

Oregon sets minimum standards for who may conduct pre-employment psychological evaluations for covered public safety positions, and for what those evaluations must include. Before engaging or renewing with any evaluator, verify an active Oregon license with the issuing board and confirm the evaluation meets DPSST requirements.

Our verification checklist walks your agency through it in a few minutes, with the license lookup links and rule citations included. OFRE welcomes the check: Mary Hoisington, LMFT, Oregon License T1515.
